Celebrate Sunflowers Card

I had so much fun using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the coordinating Sunflowers dies in making this card! I took inspiration from a card on page 13 of the Annual catalog. I used a half sheet of Misty Moonlight card stock and scored at 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”.

Using the 2020-2022 6 x 6 In Color Designer Series paper, I chose the Misty Moonlight polka dot as my front panel and cut it at 4 1/2” x 5 1/2” gluing to the front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I die cut the back and front of the sunflower in Daffodil Delight card stock, and sponged Daffodil Delight ink from the ink pad using a Sponge Dauber to the sunflower detail piece. I die cut the center ring in Early Espresso card stock and the very center in Basic Black card stock. I die cut out two leaf back grounds in Pear Pizzaz card stock and the intricate leaf fronts in Shaded Spruce card stock. I sponged a little bit of Shaded Spruce ink over the Pear Pizzaz back ground leaves. I used Thick Whisper White card stock to die cut out the white leaf fronds. I adhered all the pieces together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and used Stampin Dimensionals on the back of the sunflower and leaves to place on card front. I stamped the “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment with a Night of Navy ink pad using Clear Block H, adhering to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the part of the sentiment that was over the sunflower and Mini Dimensionals for the part that hung off of the flower. It was a really fun and easy card to put together, but looks so elegant!

My neighbor has a huge sunflower in her garden with a massive amount of seeds on it. It made me think of how one single seed created this sunflower that now has so many seeds that will scatter and produce even more sunflowers. I couldn’t help but think of how one single act of kindness can do the same. One handmade card given in love can sow seeds of love and kindness and you might not ever know just how that one simple act can impact a life! This is a hard time for so many people. Please reach out if you need encouragement or want to start making cards, but don’t know where to start. I am here to help and would love to connect with you.

Have a blessed day!
