Wildly Happy Stamp Set

I was actually not feeling “wildly happy” when I was deciding on a card to make. In the middle of the COVID 19 Pandemic, I was missing loved ones and wishing I could give them a hug.  But, as I pulled this stamp set off of the shelf, I couldn’t help but smile.  The Panda mama hugging her cub, seemed like the perfect card to brighten my spirits and hopefully the recipient of this card!

To make this card I used a half sheet of our Thick Whisper White card stock folded in the middle to form a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” card base. I cut a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock at 4” x 5 1/4”, the patterned paper at 3 3/4” x 5” and glued them together. I die cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies, and then used the 3rd largest circle in the Layering Circles dies to create a “window”. Using a small piece of Pool Party card stock I die cut another circle using the 2nd to the largest and glued it to the Pretty Peacock circle using MultiPurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped the Panda onto Thick Whisper White card stock using Memento Black ink, and colored him in using Stampin’ Blends markers in light black. I also used a Blender Pen to pick up a little bit of black and used that to give a shading effect to the face, arms and body. I stamped the “here for you” sentiment from the By the Dock stamp set on Thick Whisper White card stock using the Pretty Peacock ink pad and cut both the bear and sentiment out. I used Stampin Dimensionals on the back of both and attached them to the circle. I then took some linen thread and wound it around the card panel three times attaching in the back with tape. Using more Stampin Dimensionals on the back of the circle I adhered it to the card front. You can find all of the items I used in making this card on my shop!
